Saxist Crispin Cioe has amassed a growing video library of his work as saxophonist and music director. We’ve assembled extensive saxophone video of his performances as a co-founder of The Uptown Horns on tour with the Rolling Stones and other bands, of his work as Music Director on national television shows, and of his work as a saxophone soloist. Sax Solo Playlist

To make it easier to view his work, we’ve created playlists for you below. Crispin Cioe plays the featured sax solo on “Living in America” by the legendary godfather of soul James Brown. The song is also has its own starring role in the motion picture “Rocky IV”. While he is a sax soloist recognized for his work on alto saxophone with The Uptown Horns, he also performs masterful solos on tenor and baritone that thrill audiences.

Crispin on Tour Playlist

As co-founder and alto sax player in the horn section the Uptown Horns, Crispin toured with the Rolling Stones on their Steel Wheels and Urban Jungle tours. The Rolling Stones’ Steel Wheels Tour was a concert tour which was launched in North America to promote the band’s album Steel Wheels. Rolling Stones: Live at the Max is a concert film by the Rolling Stones of that tour.

Music Director Playlist

Crispin Cioe serves as music director on numerous nationally broadcast programs including “In Performance at the White House” events and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. As Music Director, Crispin is responsible for all music for the program — assembling the band, arranging songs, preparing charts for the musicians, and ultimately leading each musical performance.
