Saxman Crispin Cioe performs at Fairfield Theatre Company for That 70’s Show Again to benefit Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County. The far-out evening of musical performances feature the top sounds of that storied decade, performed by local artists and friends, including Westport saxophonist Crispin Cioe.

Joining Crispin Cioe at Fairfield Theatre Company are Frank Bergonzi, Andrea Casale, Laurie & Jeff Gross, Dave Hart, Carleigh Jade, Jim Kempner, The Wiggins Sisters, Lorraine Watkins, Neighborhood Studios Musicians, Mark Freed, and more.

About Crispin Cioe

Crispin Cioe is a renowned saxophonist, music director, bandleader, composer, and songwriter who has played and recorded with James Brown (sax solo on “Living in America”), the Rolling Stones, Solomon Burke, Darlene Love, Tom Waits, Ray Charles, Cameo, Robert Palmer, Bronski Beat, the Ohio Players, and Usher. Crispin has played on more than 300 albums. Crispin rose to fame as an original member of the legendary Uptown Horns, the NYC-based quartet with Arno Hecht, Bob Funk and Larry Etkin. As a co-founding member of the legendary horn section, Crispin has been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in NYC. In addition, in June, 2022, all 4 Uptown Horns were inducted individually into the New England Music Hall of Fame.

Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County has been providing arts experiences to thousands of Bridgeport children for over 30 years, and currently provides year round services to 1500 youngsters. Neighborhood Studios strives to change the lives of children at risk through the arts. Neighborhood Studios (NS) offers innovative after-school and summer arts programs to students from kindergarten through post-high school in Bridgeport and its surrounding towns.

Neighborhood Studios has taught thousands of children over the years. Due to either economic disadvantage or physical or emotional disabilities, many of those children would not have had the opportunity to experience music and arts without Neighborhood Studio’s existence.
